Dinner with Mr. & Mrs Robert E Lee at the Fairfield Inn

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Historic Fairfield Inn to offer guests of Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn the opportunity to participate in this very special event. With a booking the night of January 21st, 2017 you will also receive tickets to the dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Robert E Lee. The base price is based on two guests staying overnight at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn and at two guests at the Dinner.

Guests will receive Virginian Cuisine prepared by our Chef. The Menu inludes Smithfield Ham, Brunswick Stew, and Cake. All items are rumored to be favorites of General Robert E. Lee.  The General and his wife will be in attendance and will give you a history lesson like you have never seen before.  Beer, Wine (made by The Adams County Winery), and Cocktails are available.

• Appetizer: Smithfield Ham Trio- Smithfield, VA Ham served three ways; Shaved Ham Devilled Egg, Ham and Apple Butter Biscuit Slider and Black-eyed Peas and Ham.
• Entrée: Brunswick Stew- Slow simmered tomato stew with chicken, pork, lima beans, butter beans, corn, okra, onions, celery and herbs. Served with grilled corn bread.
• Dessert: Robert E. Lee Cake- A southern dessert classic. White cake layered with orange and lemon buttermilk icings, finished with a toasted coconut frosting.

After dinner, guests are welcome to take a Free Tour of the Inn. Brochures are available with a brief history of each room.
