Here’s our suggestion for the perfect two-night stay at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn in Gettysburg, PA

Day 1 of the perfect Gettysburg vacation:

The Pennsylvania State Memorial on the Gettysburg Battlefield

The Pennsylvania State Memorial on the Gettysburg Battlefield

3:00 PM - You arrive at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn and are immediately greeted by a friendly and helpful evening host who offers you fresh made-from-scratch cookies.

4:00 PM - You take a two to three minute drive down the road and start to explore all of the conveniently close historic locations on the Battlefield.

Consider Devil’s Den or possibly Big Round Top (reopening in 2024) if you and your party are in the mood for a short hike. The possibilities are endless, and you couldn't be any closer to the most popular Gettysburg Battlefield monuments at Battlefield Bed & Breakfast Inn.

6:00 PM - You depart the Inn for dinner at the Dobbin House, located five minutes away on Emmitsburg Rd. / Steinwehr Ave.

7:15 PM - You take advantage of your current location and explore the many fine shops located along Steinwehr Ave and Baltimore Street. Maybe you step inside Reid's Cider House for a refreshing glass of local Adam's County hard cider. Or perhaps you have saved enough room for a big delicious waffle cone at Mr. G's Ice Cream shop. The square of Gettysburg also has many fine pubs and stores to explore during your stay.

8:00 PM - You come back to the inn for Ghost Stories with Lance Windish (by request - please let us know you want to do this) or take a ghost walking tour with a local Ghost Tour company such as Ghostly Images of Gettysburg. The Haunted Orphanage tour is highly recommended.

9:30 PM - You arrive back at the Inn with enough time to take advantage of our comfortable common rooms and 24-hour coffee and tea bar. Perhaps you sit on our spacious deck and ponder the great battle that was waged all around our property. Or maybe you have an urge to explore the supernatural and decide to investigate our own 30-acre property yourself. Every room is equipped with a flashlight for late night walks and paranormal investigations.
