William Penn established a colony called Pennsylvania, which means Penn’s Woods. William Penn was persecuted in England for practicing his Quaker faith. His new colony allowed religious freedom. Battlefield Bed & Breakfast is within the boundaries of William Penn’s Manor of Maske, one of the five personal manors that were granted to William Penn to pay off a debt owed to his father.
