Gettysburg is known for its outstanding bed and breakfasts. If you've never stayed at a bed and breakfast, here is what to expect.

A professional bed and breakfast is an upscale accommodation. It is not a room in someone's home. Your host will be knowledgeable about the area and will provide guidance during your visit to Gettysburg. Use your host as a resource to plan your vacation.

You will have use of your private bedroom and also of many common areas in the building. Professional bed and breakfasts try to make the guests feel like they are truly in a home away from home. You won't feel the cold formality of a hotel lobby. There will be common rooms where you can curl up and read a newspaper, watch television, sit by a fire, enjoy a glass of wine, and relax.

Here's an appeal especially for you hotel and motel folks.

If you aren't sure what to expect, just ask! Your host is there to help you have a wonderful vacation experience. Take advantage of your host's experience and get the most out of Gettysburg!

At Battlefield Bed & Breakfast, your will feel relaxed and welcome. We love our guests and our guests say over and over, "We will be back!"

It is time to start booking for our fall and winter special events!
